Raquel Cruces (Spain) | Folk | Streaming
My repertoire contains popular songs from the Iberian Peninsula and both archipelagos sung in Portuguese, Galician, Spanish and Catalan with my own revisit arrangements. These pieces are all anonymous, belonging to the collective memory of the people.
The music I share is a display of emphasis, intensity, fragility and the creation of emotional atmospheres: from the intimacy of lullabies or songs for the dead, to "the palos de baile", often reinterpreted under more contemporary aesthetics.
